Production Manager (Grade C, D and Clean Non-Classified cleanrooms)

 

We are currently recruiting for an exciting opportunity for a Production Manager to join our Aseptic Services Unit (ASU).

 

Reporting to the Senior Production Manager, you would be responsible for the leadership, direction, motivation and management of the ASU, enabling the Aseptic Unit to deliver the highest quality product in an efficient and cost-effective manner.

The role is full-time, Monday - Friday, working all bank holidays and is based at our Head Office in Runcorn, Cheshire.

 

Fresenius Kabi is a global healthcare company that specialises in lifesaving medicines and technologies for infusion, transfusion and clinical nutrition. The company's products and services are used to help care for critically and chronically ill patients.

Our product portfolio comprises a comprehensive range of I.V. generic drugs, infusion therapies and clinical nutrition products as well as the medical devices for administering these products.

At our Runcorn site, we have one of the largest Aseptic Compounding units in the UK, producing Parenteral Nutrition.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with all ASU managers to ensure that compliance with the company’s Specials Manufacturing Licence and Wholesale Distribution Authorisation are maintained and that all applicable company operations and processes conform to the principles of GMP and GDP
  • Assume direct management and operational responsibility for the ASU and its personnel
  • Lead and motivate the ASU Production Team, ensuring competent staff are recruited, trained, developed and retained
  • Set objectives to ensure all activities are delivered on time, to the agreed accredited standard and implement corrective actions when deficiencies arise
  • Ensure material supply and availability is maintained for the Grade B Compounding Team
  • Ensure all product is labelled on time and ready for dispatch on time and in full
  • Ensure effective financial management and control in line with operational budget
  • Collect and analyse key performance data, communicate to team, and utilise to improve production processes
  • Collaborate with other ASU production managers and support teams
  • Responsible for ensuring all products manufactured meet the required specification
  • Host internal audits to support the identification, root cause analysis and closure of non-compliance issues and to support continuous improvement of the QMS
  • Represent the ASU in internal, global, MHRA and any other regulatory body audits

Qualifications

  • Management experience with a proven track record in implementing business improvement and personnel development
  • A recognised managerial qualification and/or management experience in the life sciences sector/production is preferable
  • Flexible to work across 3 shifts to support the teams
  • Excellent communication skills to ensure active motivation and teamwork
